How to feel the skin
Lightly use the back of your hands
How to feel edema
Palpate lightly with the fingertips
How to feel superficial muscle tonicity
Broad fingertip pressure paraspinally
How to feel deep muscle tonicity
Broad fingertips with strumming, cross-fiber motion
What do you ask the patient to say if they have palpable tenderness?
Rate their pain on a scale 1-10
What are the 6 contact points for pain?
SP of interest, TVPs of interest, SP of vertebra above/below, TVPs of vertebra above/below

Tissue prominence
VSC of neuropathology
