Placed at wing tips, tail fin and horizontal stabiliser.
Remove electricity in flight.

All parts of the airframe must be electrically bonded.
Ensures low resistance to static wicks.
Ensures uniform electrical potential.
Prevents radio interference.

Grounding (earthing)

Answer 3

Equalise charge between aircraft and ground.
Must happen for refuelling, if not a spark may be generated.
