  • reduce the size of Germany
  • divide Germany into four zones by USA USSR Britian and France
  • divide Berlin into four zones despite being in USSRs zone
  • give USSR a quarter of everyone’s equipment in the other three zones because their quarter was quite weak

What was the Marshall plan

A

USA were willing to pay $13 billion to any European countries which were under threat and were need of a Marshall aid. Also USA will share their resources and trade freely. They were doing this to gain trust from other countries and convince them not to be communist

A

To bring Europe into a more USSR influence and to refuse Marshall aid and make strikes against their help, two million workers in France rebelled because they were communist. To remove governments which weren’t loyal to Stalin

A

Final answer to the Marshall plan, a communist alternative. USSR attempted to prevented trade with Western Europe. Minimise American influence, made economic benefits and remained in the the soviet sphere of influence, eastern EU didn’t have access with western EU
