A short coda used to a section of music.

A texture based on chords.

A musical texture which features a melody with accompaniment.

Rhythm patterns where stressed notes are placed off the beat.

Held or repeating note on the same pitch.

A musical phrase which repeats.

The speed of the music.
Inverted tonic pedal
A pedal played in the highest part highest of the texture instead of the lowest.
Dominant
The fifth tone or degree of any major or minor scales.
Imperfect cadence
A type of cadence where the chords played are chord 1 and then 5, making the cadence sound unfinished.
Chromatic notes
Chromatic harmony uses notes from outside the key to colour the chords.
Parallel chords
Chords hat move up and down in pitch maintaining the same shape.
Cluster chord
A chord that has notes that are next to each other.
