Hint: What’s included? What are the exceptions?
Strokes:
All strokes for the complete Myofascial Release Massage with the exception of the deep structure strokes (Piriformis, Iliopsoas tendon, Iliacus and Psoas). Deep structure strokes may be useful after four or five sessions if the client is reporting relief from the work you are already doing.
General Stress and Tension
Hint: What’s included
Strokes:
All strokes, superficial and deep. Again, wait to do the deep structures for three to four sessions until the client is able to relax and let you work these tissues more easily.
Gross Physical Trauma
(Hint: What’s included? Once the client can better relax you can_____________?
Strokes:
All strokes, including those for the deep structure (Piriformis, Iliopsoas tendon, Iliacus and Psoas) are very useful. Wait until you have done four or five sessions before employing the deep structure strokes so that the client can better relax and allow the work on the deep structures.
Restricted Joint Movement
Strokes:
Work all tissue which span the involved joint(s)
