Downstage
(DS) - part of stage nearest the audience
House left
(HL) - left side of auditorium from audience perspective facing the stage
House right
(HR) - right side of auditorium from audience perspective facing the stage
In
Toward the stage floor, referring to vertical movement of scenery, etc.
i.e. phantom of the opera - “chandelier coming ‘in’” when the chandelier drops down toward the stage floor
Onstage
Toward the stage centre; toward or in the part of the stage that is in view of audience
Offstage
Closer to the edge of stage, or completely off the stage and out of audience view
Stage right
(SR) - right side of stage from artist’s view being on stage
Upstage
(US) - part of the stage toward the back of the stage
Stage left
(SL) - left side of stage from artist’s view being on stage
7 things needed on input list
- Contact number of the band
- Band name
- Date of the show
- Channel #s
- Inputs (instrument/vocals)
- Mics (and/or DI is applicable)
- Mic stand
