  • As they learn new skills they can be promoted, extra pay & responsibilities are good for motivation

  • Authoritarian (autocratic) - Make decisions alone without consulting staff
  • Paternalistic - make decisions themselves but only after consultation with workers
  • Democratic - Allow workforce some influence over decisions
  • Laissez-faire - Allow workers to perform tasks as they see fit, offering help if needed
