What steps should you take before a performance meeting

A
  1. Identify the minimum standard and how the employees performance falls short of that
  2. Send the employee a letter of invitation
  3. Set up performance management file
  4. Discuss with HRM and consider possible options to remedy the performance concerns
  5. Draw up a checklist of items to be discussed
  6. If further organisational support is required ascertain names of contact persons
