Q

Define Atypical Angina

A

Defined as stable angina but with symptoms not clearly identifiable as ischaemic chest pain.

  • Breathlessness

Q

What are the causes of angina?

A

Angina arises because of a mismatch between myocardial oxygen supply and the myocardial demand. Increased myocardial blood flow results in reduced demand.

Q

What increases myocardial demand?

A

Q

How do you treat stable coronary artery disease?

A
  • Releive symptoms - Reduce workload of heart and improve coronary blood flow
  • Slow/halt the disease process
