-France claimed much of Canada, claimed Hati, and central North America is there for trapping.
-England claimed land along the Atlantic coast and created permanent settlements like Jamestown and Plymouth
-Dutch established trading posts along the Hudson river, and their largest settlement became Manhattan.

What was the Triangular trade?

What did the triangular trade in the 18th-19th century look like?
-Britain traded with Africa in exchange for slaves shipped to the Americas.
-America would use the slaves to harvest sugar, rum, tobacco, etc, which they would send to Britain
-Britain would send European products (things that did not exist in Africa) to Africa for slaves, and the cycle will begin anew
