What are the basic components of an infantry squad?

A standard infantry squad is made up of 9 individuals and is lead by a squad leader (who carries an M4 series rifle). The remaining eight members of the squad are divided into two self-contained fire teams, an A team and a B team. Each fire team is lead by a team leader (who carries an M4 series rifle), and also includes a grenadier (who carries an M203 grenade launcher, an Automatic Rifleman (who carries an M249 Light Machine Gun), and a Rifleman (who carries an M4 series rifle).
