You may use spot block to stop your spot instances from ebing terminated even if the spot instacne price goes over your max spot price. You can set spot blocks for between 1-6 hrs currently

Capacity Optimized:

spot instances will come from a pool with optimal capacity for the number of instances running

Lowest Price
spot instances will come from a pool with the lowest price .. This is the default strategy

Diversified
Spot insatcnes are distributed across pools

InstancePoolToUseCount
This is valid only when you in combination with lowestprice. The spot instances are distributed across the numebr of spot instacne pools you specify.
