-a blend of one or more single malt whiskeys
Cognac is:
- brandy made from white wine
- twice distilled in copper pot still
Armangac is:
- brandy made from white wine blends
- traditionally distilled in continuous still
Calvados is:
- fermented from apples and pears
- from Normandy France, (northern france on Atlantic coast]
Tequila is:
- fermented blue agave [51% minimum]
- from the Tequila demarcated region
Gin is:
- traditionally fermented cereal grains like vodka [can be others]
- Flavored with number of herbs/spices [predominantly Juniper]
- once flavored it is then redistilled
Vodka is:
- traditionally from cereal grains or potatoes (but any fermentable material)
- distilled multiple times to achieve clarity/purity of spirit
- typically continuous still but sometimes copper pot
Rum is:
- from sugarcane or molasses
- either continuous or pot depending on style desired
Blended whiskey is:
-a Blend of malt and grain whiskey
