Akvavit
Akvavit or aquavit is a flavoured spirit that is principally produced in Scandinavia, where it has been produced since the 15th century. Distilled from grain or potato then flavored with spices.
Akvavit gets its distinctive flavour from spices and herbs, and the main spice should be caraway or dill. It typically contains 40% alcohol by volume.
Traditionally drunk at holidays as a shot or in a tulip glass.
Vermouth
An aromatized, fortified wine flavored with botanicals (roots, barks, flowers, seeds, herbs, and spices).
Modern versions of the beverage were first produced in 18th century in Turin, Italy. Traditionally used for medicinal purposes, then as aperitif. In late 19th century became popular with bartenders in many classic cocktails.
Grand Marnier
Liqueur made from Cognac and exotic bitter oranges. Crafted in the Cognac region of France. Since 1880.
Combier
Created in Saumur, France since 1834. Composed of exotic sun-dried orange peels steeped in alcohol and triple-distilled.
