Basic Injustice
people resolve a conflict selfishly =, seeking only their own interests at the expense of the good of others
Violent Response: people frustrated by injustice often see no other solution than the use of violence against their opponent
Violent Counter - Response
one side decides to use violence, the other side sees no other choice but to respond with an even greater violence
Escalating Violence
the level of violence escalates as each side attempts to oer-come the other with the use of greater force
Violence Ends Temporarily, Followed by More Injustice
one side finally uses enough force to overwhelm the other, conflict appears to end; then continues with more injustice to the other side containing the spiral
Colonialism
policy by which a nation maintains or exerts its control over a foreign territory or country
