  1. Close the throttle
  2. Roll then pitch to S&L flight

Near inverted with nose low (speed increasing)

A
  1. Close the throttle
  2. Look for nearest horizon and roll the shortest distance towards it to select wings level
  3. Pitch out of the dive (on light buffet), observe G limit

Recovery from the vertical (speed below, or reducing rapidly towards, 80kts)

A
  1. Leave the throttle
  2. Centralise the controls. 2 hands and brace rudder pedals.
  3. When nose is below horizon and a/c accelerating, smoothly close the throttle, level the wings and pitch out of the die, as for a nose low UP

Entry to the spin

A

After the lookout turn…

  1. Close throttle
  2. Do not trim, maintain S&L
  3. Wg tip to wg tip lookout
  4. 70kts = 2 hands on CC
  5. 60kts = apply full rudder AND move CC fully back, keeping ailerons neutral

Full spin recovery

A
  1. Check height (call out the height)
  2. Check throttle closed - physical height
  3. Check direction of turn needle
  4. Apply and hold full rudder to oppose the turn
  5. Pause, 1 second
  6. Control column to central position
  7. When spin stops, centralise rudder
  8. Recover from dive
