4 main things to look for:
1. Fracture
2. Endplate erosion
3. Pedicle erosion
4. Alignment

Others:
- osteophytes
- disc height
- facet arthrosis

Non-marginal syndesmophytes
In 3 successive levels or 4 contiguous vertebrar

  1. Lateral cervical xray
    - flowing ossification (“flowing candle wax”)
    - preservation of disc height
  2. Thoracic
    - right side T7-T11
  3. Lumbar
    - symmetrical syndesmophytes
    - no facet joint fusion
    - no sacroilitis
