Answer 1

• younger age <4.5yo (increased risk of pin site infection)
• daily pin site dressing –> increased risk
• early or delayed treatment, perioperative antibiotics with or without, delay follow up >14days (are not a/w increased risk of infection)

Arthrocentasis of hip:

Mid-point inguinal ligament:
- ASIS to pubic tubercle
(Just lateral to mid-inguinal point)

Mid-inguinal point:
- ASIS to pubis symphysis
- femoral artery

• occurs regardless of treatment
