UMN is above the anterior horn cell and LMN is below it.
How do you differentiate between UMN and LMN lesion signs?
UMN
Hyperreflexia, hypertonic, weakness, babinski positive, absent fasciculation and atrophy
LMN
Absent reflexes, weakness, hypotonic, fasciculation and atrophy and babinksi negative
