Alliteration
repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words
Anaphora
repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of words
Antithesis
opposition of juxtaposition of ideas or words in a balanced or parallel construction (to emphasize 2nd point)
Aporia
Questioning oneself, pretending to be in doubt.
Aposiopesis
A sudden pause or interruption for dramatic effect
Apostrophe
turn from general audience to address a specific group or person, real or imagined.
Asyndeton
the absence of conjunctions, between coordinate clauses, phrases, or words
Conduplicato
repetition of a key word over successive phrases or clauses.
Euphemism
pleasant expression rather than rude or offensive
