Attacking the opponent themself rather than the argument.

Ex: If most people have this, you should too.
Hasty Generalization
Generalizing about something without proper information to prove your point.
Moral Equivalence
Comparing a small thing to a bigger thing to make a point.
Begging the Claim
Conclusion is validated within the argument.
False Authority/Appeal to authority

Post Hoc Ergo- Propter Hoc
Connecting two unrelated things (cause and effect).
No True-Scotsman
Ex: “If you were really a true Scotsman, you wouldn’t put sugar in your porridge.”
Appeal to Tradition
This is better because it’s tradition.
Appeal to Ignorance
Something which is true because it hasn’t been proven false.
