Acuvue Moist: sph/tor/mf
What is the main issue with Easyvision Vusion?
It’s a proclear equivalent and uses a hydrogel material so can cause overwear complications e.g. corneal neovasc etc. However, if a patient is comfortable with no significant issues and been wearing it in the past, best to keep them in them.
What are the typical go-to lenses for daily lenses, in order from most used to less? (2)
Easyvision Linarial
Easyvision Umere
Is there any difference between easyvision and their equivalents?
Other than price, they are clinically the same
Why is Easyvision Vitrea typically used less than linarial and umere?
Easyvision Vitrea is Focus Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus, which uses a hydrogen material (in contrast to Si-Hy)
What material are Freshlook Dailies [coloured contacts] made of?
Nelfilcon A - a Hydrogel material.
When doing a trial for a patient wanting freshlook coloured contacts, why do we use Focus Dailies All Day comfort [or Easyvision opsys] as a trial?
Focus Dailies All Day use the same hydrogel material (nelfilcon A), which simulates how the freshlook contacts will feel on the eye. Freshlook lenses themselves don’t do trials (unless plano trial, good for smaller scripts), so we can use Focus Dailies instead and then order Freshlook if fit good and base it on ORx.
Why may Freshlook plano trial be good for patients after coloured contacts?
They can look in a mirror to see if they like the colour
