What is symbiosis?
Symbiosis is any type of close and long-term biological interaction between two biological organisms of different species
What are the main symbiotic relationships?
Mutualism
Commensalism
Parasitism
Competition
What is predation?
One species (predator) feeds on another species (prey)
What is competition?
Presence of other organisms which consume the same resources
Can be interspecific (different species) or intraspecific (between same species)
What is mutualism?
Partnership between two different organisms in which both of them benefit
What is commensalism?
Interaction between species in which only one species benefits, while others are not harmed
What is parasitism?
One species benefit and other is harmed. Parasites live off a ‘host’ and causes harm
