Q
IOP is reduced increased
A
The pressure can be reduced with most anaesthetic agents, with the exception of ketamine, as well as all non-depolarising muscle relaxants.
IOP can be specifically reduced with systemic mannitol and acetazolamide. Acetazolamide is a mild diuretic which also reduces production of aqueous humour through blockade of carbonic anhydrase. Topical agents include dorzolamide and timolol
