- Establish that the pts’ advance car directive is clear and valid

- Follow the pt’s wishes as outlined in the directive
Expected Home Death - DNR w/ pt

- Pt has a physician order or a signed “No CPR” form or a “No CPR” bracelet
Action
Do not resuscitate
Contact CliniCall if unsure of appropriateness of DNR
Unexpected Home Death in the presence of a terminal illness
No DNR
Intervention Notes
- Perform basic life support procedures until a determination of viability can be assessed
Action
- Start CPR and immediately determine the medical history

- Prolonged down time
- Decapitation
- Trans-section
- Evidence of tissue decomposition, including rigor mortis and/or lividity

- Permanent cessation of all vital functions
- The final and irreversible cessation of perceptible heart beat and respiration
Action
Non-viability is obvious, CPR is not initiated
CBRNE related death
