Advantages - 24 hour window/well tolerated and good efficacy

Disadvangates - Increase in breast and cervical cancerl

Dont take with migraine with aura

Dont take if DVT/PE history or risk

Dont take if CV risk factors

Dont take less than 6 weeks after birth

A

Advantages - can take with CV risk factors

Can stop or make periods lighter

Take every day so don’t have to remember when to take it

Disadvantages - Progesterogenic side effects - Nauses, cramping, bloating, breast tenderness

Advatanges - Reduces mennorrhagia

Disadvantages - Progestenic side effects. Can increase bleeing at the start but then leads to amenorrhea

After 3 hours - Take when you remember even if it means doubling - use condoms for 48 hours and if you have unprotected sex get emergency contraception
