Puget Sound Pilots

A

Pilotage is compulsory for all vessels except those under enrollment or engaged exclusively in the coasting trade on the west coast of the continental United States (including Alaska) and/or British Columbia. Pilots monitor VHF 13 + 14 and can also be reached via Marine Exchange on VHF 20.

A

Vessels approaching Pt Glover should sound 1 prolonged blast within .5nm as a warning to any vessels approaching from opposite direction. Deep draft may pass stbd to stbd.

Pier 91

A

Pier 91 Cruise Ship Safety and Security Zone including waters within 100yds of Pier 91. Enforced when passenger ships are morred at 91. No vessel or perons may enter or remain in the zone without COPT or designated representative authorization.

Torpedo Test Area

A

Torpedo Test area extends off the shore btw Brownsville and Keyport Naval Underwater Warfare Engineering Station. Flashing red lights on Navy range vessels indicate hazard to mariners. Do not enter when lights flashing. When in area stop engines, as torpedos may be attracted to noise.
