This traditional mental health practice settings is the best placement for the case study described: Jerry has been battling major depression disorder for 10years. Three months ago, Jerry lost his job. During this time, Jerry has began drinking heavily. This morning, as Jerry reached for his bottle of whiskey at 9am, Jerry had a moment of reflection, followed by a panic attack. Jerry voluntarily checked himself into a short-term, structured environment.
Crisis Stabilization
This traditional mental health practice settings is the best placement for the case study described: Aamir has had a long and complicated history of mental illness. Though Aamir is 38, Aamir’s parents are his legal guardians. Three years ago, Aamir’s parents moved him into this place, which provides support and supervision, with the eventual hope to transition Aamir back into the community.
Long-term Hospitalizations
This community-based mental health settings is described below: Ling has lived with a diagnosis of Bipolar for the past 15 years. He works in this at a drop-in center to provide peer support programs to others struggling with mental illness. Ling uses his knowledge as an art teacher to teach his peers ways to relieve stress through art.
