The Spanish armada was a fleet of 151 ships sent by King Philip II to attack in England
Why did Philip send an Armada against England?
He was catholic and Elizabeth was a Protestant so he saw her as a heretic
Queen Elizabeth knighted Francis Drake who had constantly raided Philip’s towns and stole his gold
