Inferior: teres major
Lateral: long head of triceps
Medial: teres minor
Contents: circumflex scapular artery, radial nerve, brachial artery
quadrangular space
Superior: teres minor Inferior: teres major Lateral: neck of humerus Medial: long head of triceps Contents: axillary nerve
cubital space
A. superior border= imaginary line between medial and lateral epicondyles
B. medial border=pronator teres
C. lateral border=brachioradialis
D. floor=brachialis, supinator, and biceps brachii muscles
E. roof=skin, hypodermis, and fascia
F. Median nerve, brachial artery, bicep tendon, radial nerve
Snuff box
Lateral- Extensor pollicis brevis
Medial- Extensor pollicis longus
Proximal- extensor retinaculum
Contents: radial artery
carpal tunnel
Flexor retinaculum- prevents bow stringing
10 tendons + median N
Superficialis (4 tendons), Profundus (4 tendons), Flexor pollicis longus, flexor carpi radialis (goes in but not through)
Median Nerve**
Axilla
A) Anterior axillary fold = pectoralis major
B) Posterior axillary fold=latissimus dorsi, and teres major (superior)
C) Medial Wall: serratus anterior
D) Lateral Wall: humerus
E) Apex= formed by clavicle, 1st rib, superior edge of scapula
F) Base=skin, subcutaneous tissue, and fascia
G) Contents: axillary artery, axillary vein, lymph vessels/nodes, brachial plexus
