2
Q

how does the distance from the sun affect our atmosphere

A

Being in the habitable zone allows for the presence of water, possibly in different states (solid, liquid and gas) to cycle throughout an atmosphere.

Q

how the solar system formed

A

It was a gas cloud that got affected by a large supernova, this jump started our solar system and created our home star the sun, the rest of the gas formed into asteroids which collided into each other to form planets

Q

how does the size of the planet affect our atmosphere

A

Small planets do not have enough gravity to “hold on”to small gaseous elements and compounds.
Large planets like Jupiter & Saturn have immensely thick atmospheres because their gravity can “hold on” even the smallest/lightest elements and compounds.

6
Q

how does geological activity affect our atmosphere

A

Processes such as volcanism release the gases that become the components of a planet’s atmosphere.

8
Q

what is Orbital Eccentricity aand why is it important

A

its the path of our planet in orbit, so like basically we go round and round like the merrygoround and if we go not round and like oval we would die because no habitable zone!! 😭

Q

habitable zone

A

When a planet is positioned at a distance where liquid water can exist on its surface, it is considered to lay in the habitable zone of that star.

Q

space weather

A

Space weather refers to changes in the space
environment and geomagnetic storms resulting from
eruptions on the Sun. Space weather ultimately affects
human activities and technologies on Earth and in space.
