SP Channel Pathway 1

A
  1. The SP Meridian originates at the medial side of the big toe. It then runs along the inside of the foot, turning in front of the inner ankle bone. 2. From there, it ascends along the posterior surface of the lower leg 3. and the medial aspect of the knee and thigh 4. to enter the abdominal cavity. {Ll. RN3,4, Ll. RNlO) 5. It runs internally to its pertaining organ, the SP, 6. and connects with the ST.

SP Channel Pathway 2

A
  1. The main Meridian continues on the surface of the abdomen, running upward to the chest, (Ll.GB24, Ll. LV14, Ll. LUl) 8. where it again penetrates internally to fol low the throat 9. up to the root of the tongue, under which it spreads its Qi and Blood. 10. An internal branch leaves the ST, passes upward through the diaphragm, and enters into the HT, where it connects with the HT Meridian

A

Location: CAM: on the medial side of the great toe, 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail
Deadman: on the dorsal aspect of the big toe, at the junction of lines drawn along the medial border of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the corner of the nail

clears Damp Heat, calms the spirit.
RX Function: irregular menstrual bleeding, calm mind
for sleep disorders

RX Function: clears the 5 stagnations from the Middle Jiao (Cold, Qi Stagnation, Blood Stasis, Damp/Phlegm and Food Stagnation: NO HEAT), stops uterine bleeding and tonifies Blood by opening the Chong. Combine with: +PC6 to regulate and tonify
Blood.

Functions: tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, resolves Dampness, harmonizes the Liver and tonifies the Kidneys, regulates menstruation and induces labor, harmonizes the Lower Jiao, regulates
urination and benefits the genitals, calms the spirit, invigorates Blood, activates the channel and alleviates pain.

SP 6 Rx functions and combos

A

RX Function: nourishes whole body Yin, soothes LV Qi stagnation and removes SP Damp, crossing point of the 3 leg yin channels, good for tonifying fluids, regulates fluids.
Combine with: +KD6 and or Ren4 to tonify
whole body Yin; +SP9 to remove Damp;
+SJ6 to tonify fluids.

A

CAM: on the lower border of the medial condyle of the tibia, in the depression posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the tibia
Deadman: on the medial side of the lower leg, in a depression in the angle formed by the medial condyle of the tibia and the posterior border of the tibia

SP 9 functions

A

Functions: regulates the Spleen and resolves Dampness, opens and moves the Water Passages, benefits the Lower Jiao.
RX Function: resolves Damp, regulates water for water metabolism problems such as edema, urinary disturbance, etc.
Combine with: +Ren12 to resolve Damp and tonify the Middle Jiao; + UB22, SJ4, Ren9 to regulate water.

A

血海:CAM: when the knee is flexed, the point is 2 cun above the medio superior border of the patella, on the bulge of the medial portion of m. quadriceps femoris.
Deadman: 2 cun proximal to the superior border of the patella, in the tender depression on the bulge of the vastus medialis muscle, directly above SP-9

A

CAM: on the lateral side of the chest and on the middle axillary line, in the 6th inter costal space
Deadman: on the mid-axillary line, in the seventh inter costal space. Note: some sources locate this point in the sixth inter costal space

Functions: regulates Qi and Blood and firms the sinews and joints, unbinds the chest and benefits the lateral costal region. RX Function: all over aches and pain without an underlying cause; general muscle pain.
