what is own resources
use your own money to pay for the legal fees but need to have enough money to do so
what is insurance
is designed to cover the costs of legal advice where it is linked to car insurance it normally only covers cases of negligence
what is state funding
it is paid for by the government
civil legal aid helps pay for legal services regarding problems such as housing and debt
what do u need to qualify for legal aid (state funding)
meet certain financial conditions
what is conditional fees
sometimes known as no win no fee agreement, it is where the soliciotr and client agree to shre the finacial risk of taking the case . the agreement is that all of the solicitors fees will be paqtbale if the client wins their case if it lost then client will pay a reduced solicitor fee
what is a trade union membership
provides legal services for their member in industry related cases such as employment issues or industrial accident claims
what is citizens advice
provides advice on many issues such as employment, consumer complaints, dealt with face to face all services are free by will have to pay a standard rate for phone calls
what is a pro bono
refers to solicitors and barristers doing legal work free of charge typically involves law students working on a voluntary basis supporting people that cant afford advice
