Nature of God: First line of the Fatihah
In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent
Purpose of Qur’an: Surah al-Qalam (The Pen) 58:62
This is nothing except a reminder to the worlds
Shari’ah: Surah al-Jathiyah (Kneeling) 45:18
Now We have set you [Muhammad] on a shari’ah, so follow it
Aql: Surah al-Baqarah (The Heifer) 2:170
They are deaf, dumb, and blind; and they do not use their intellect
Foundations of Faith: Hadith Jibril in Sahih Muslim, 1:1
Faith means that you have faith in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day
TAWHID + SHAHADAH: Surah al-Imran (The Family of Joachim) 3:18
God bears witness that there is no god but Him, as do the angels and those who have knowledge. He upholds justice. There is no god but Him, the Almighty, the All Wise.
Tawhid: Shahadah
There is no god except God
Fitrah: Surah al-Ankabut (The Spider) 29:44
God created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed, in that is a sign for the believers
Shirk: Surah an-Nisa (The Womenfolk), 4:36
Worship God: do not join anything to Him
Tanzih: The Verse of the Throne (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:225)
His throne extends over the heavens and the earth; it does not weary Him to preserve them both
Tashbih: Surah Qaf (The Letter Qaf), 50:16
We are closer to him than his jugular vein
GOD’S ATTRIBUTES - the Powerful: Surah al-Ahqaf (Sand dunes) 46:33
He has power over everything
