What to do at beginning of paper
Read big q + q6 Read and annotate background information Look at all sources and see how they relate to the big question Annotate all sources Before this look at info on the bottom
What does this source give the impression of
- look at oversll impression -positive/negatuve
- use details from the source to explain how it gives this impression
- write a conclusion to evaluate
How far do these two sources agree
- workout overarching message of both sources in relation to the big question
- use this to explain how sources agree/disagree
- include details/quotes from both sources to support answer
- include a conclusion whcih directly answers the question and summarises in what way the sources mostly agree/disgaree
What is the cartoonists message
Start with ‘the cartoonist’s point of view is..
Explain what the cartoonists point of view is with relation to big question
Support with details from source + knowledge
Study sources x and y does source x make y surpirsing
- compare the message/detail of the two sources-identify points of agreement and disagreement
- evaluate source y to explain if it is surprising or not- think about origin(who produced and when and where), purpose and or inteded audience to explain why its point of view is/ is not surprisng
