A

Sound design is the process of recording, acquiring, manipulating, or generating audio elements.
It is used in filmmaking, television production, theatre, sound recording and reproduction, live performance, post production and video game software development.

What happens in the Sound Design Process?

  1. Live Recording and Design
    Sound designers record, use sounds from sound libraries, or create original sounds.
  2. Editing, Processing, Mixing and Implementation
    Sounds are edited and synchronized to picture.
    Processed, layered and designed to make them more effective. Mixed and balanced.
    Rerecorded, balanced and mixed, or used in sound engines for implementation(Games).
  3. Sound Effects Mix
    Provided for main sound mix – Film/Television/ Media/Online/Games
