16
Q

Who reads back and who checks to verify the PDC pre departure clearance?

A

PF reads back

PM checks to verify

17
Q

What are the requirements of a visual departure?

A

Maintain tracks and headings authorised by ATC
Remain not less then 500ft above the lower level of CTA
Visually maintain obstacle clearance

18
Q

When can pilots charge IPads? Are personal devices able to be charged using the flight deck power outlet?

A

When the aircraft is stationary or in flight above 10000 FT.

Other devices must not be charged using flight deck power outlets.

19
Q

What software is on the ipad for calculating take off and landing performance in the A330?

A

FS+ take off and FS+ landing

20
Q

What should be completed prior to calling Medlink? Where is this found?

A

Complete a patch Checklist located in the physicians kit

21
Q

How can crew satisfy the continuous radio listening watch requirement?

A

A satisfactory selcal or datalink logon

22
Q

What is the caution regarding barometric based procedures?

A

All barometric based procedures require an accurate QNH to be set on the altimetry systems to maintain safety of flight

23
Q

If the APU is off prior to arrival at flight deck what triggers leaving it off or turning it on?

A

Leave off if temp in all aircraft zones can be maintained no greater then 27 until ETD-15
If temp in any zone exceeds 27 disconnect ground air supply if applicable and start APU for air conditioning. This can also be done at pilot discretion below 27 if inadequate ventilation exists

24
Q

If you arrive at the aircraft with APU already on, can you turn off the air con packs and bleeds? When must they be turned back on?

A

Yes if aircraft temperature can be maintained not above 27 in all zones and leave off until ETD-15

25
Q

What is the arrival APU management

A

Intent is to switch the APU off as soon as possible after arrival.
Request ground power be applied.

In low light or at night, run APU for a short period after ground power connected to ensure power is reliable and doesn’t drop off line

26
Q

If ground air supply isn’t available, what is the trigger for being able to turn off APU bleed air?

A

ATIS, AWIS or OAT does not exceed 21 select APU bleed air to off

27
Q

Can a crew reset a CB on the ground?

A

It is LAME responsibility to ensure all CBs are set correctly on the ground. Flight crew are to consult engineering prior to resetting a CB

28
Q

What is the warning regarding Window heat voltage?

A

With voltage applied, a shock hazard exists for persons contacting the windshield from outside

29
Q

What is the requirement for cold temperature corrections?

A

True Altitude will be lower than indicated so when below 0 on the ground, apply cold temp corrections to Altitude based minima (DA, MDA etc) Advise ATC corrections are being used

30
Q

When should landing lights be used for collision avoidance?

A

Below 10000ft by day or night

During emergency/rapid Descent
