Which movements are usually in sonata form in a classical symphony?
A
first and last movements.

What are the three main sections of a sonata?
A
Exposition - (repeated), where the themes (usually 2) are presented.
Development - themes are treated in new ways.
Recapitulation - themes return.
Sections are often followed by a concluding section (coda)
