Q

Where is somerset, how did this make it vulnerable to this extreme weather and also flooding?

A

South West of England, making it vulnerable to heavy rain because the south westerly prevailing wind of the UK bring wet air from the sea. Also somerset is very flat and close to sea level, meaning flooding can happen quickly.
