Q

What does an acid do?

A

Acids break down in a way that produces hydrogen protons (the more protons get produced, the more destruction it can cause
(same with ions from a base)

Q

Can both acids and bases be dangerous?

A

Yes, in order to neutralize them you would have to mix an acid with a equally strong base

Q

How do you measure how strong an acid/base is?

A

By using the pH scale
(potential hydrogen), the scale is by 0-14, 7 being neutral
