All Chlorides except Lead and Silver
Most Sulfates, not Barium or Calcium or Lead
No Carbonates or Hydroxides (except first three)
2
Q
Slightly soluble salts
A
Calcium sulfate, Barium hydroxide and Calcium hydroxide
3
Q
Insoluble salts
A
All carbonates except the three
Nearly all hydroxides except the three + Barium and Calcium hydroxide
Barium and Lead sulfate
Lead and Silver chloride
4
Q
Paper chromatography
A
1) Spot of ink on chromatography paper
2) Paper hung in a sealed boiling tube containing some solvent
3) Solvent soaks up the paper
The distance moved up the paper shows the solubility of the substance- the higher it moves the more soluble.
