Q

Solar panel

A

PV so what panels are made up of many solar cells like together to form a circuit and are mounted in a frame. PV solar panels generate DC electricity which must then be converted to AC electricity by inverter because a U.S. electrical grid uses AC power.

Q

Photovoltaic (PV)

A

The term photovoltaic (PV) comes from two root words: “photo” (light) and “voltaic” (voltage). In physics, “ photovoltaic” refers to anything that produces electricity when exposed to light or other radiant energy. Solar sells solar modules and solar panels are often referred to as PV cells PV modules and PV panels to express how their electricity is produced.

Q

Micro-inverter

A

Placed on the back of the solar panel a micro-inverter optimizes energy production for each individual solar panel and converts the energy from DC to AC.

Q

Alternating current

A

A form of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons changes back and forth at the regular intervals. The electricity grid and most every day household appliances use alternating current (AC)

Q

Net metering

A

When a grid-tie solar system produces more energy than is needed, the Excess power and sent to the electrical grid to be redistributed where it’s needed. This is called “back feeding” the grid. And night the group will provide conventionally created power for the solar customers use. A net meter Records the energy sent compared to the energy received from the grid and credits or charges the user according to the local rates and rules. 44 states currently offer net metering or some variation of it.

Q

 meter

A

This is what monitors the energy production of your home solar system. You’re probably familiar with the traditional meter but if you get solar panels you’ll need a bi-directional or digital meter.

13
Q

Interconnection agreement

A

Contract between the homeowner and the local utility allowing the homeowner to connect their solar power system to the electrical grid. In some areas this enables the homeowner to receive a credit on their electricity bill from the utility for any surplus electricity the soul power system generates. (see also net metering)

Q

Electrical grid

A

The interconnected network of equipment that delivers electricity from suppliers to consumers. Often called “the grid”, thid infrastructure is made up of generating stations, transmission lines that carry power and distribution lines that connect individual customers to the system. In other words the polls and wires that transport accessory from where it’s made to your home or business.

Q

Array

A

Multiple sour sales makeup solar panel, and multiple panels can be wired together the form of solar array. The more panels you install, the more energy you can expect to generate, but depending on the efficiency of your panels, you may be able to make the same amount of energy with fewer panels.

20
Q

Ground-Mountain solar

A

A solar array installed on land; used primarily for large-scale commercial and utility-scale solar projects such as power plants that generate power for thousands of homes and businesses.

21
Q

PPA

A

(Power purchase agreement) non-ownership option in which they purchased the power their system produces at a cheaper rate then what they pay now with their utilities.

22
Q

Loan

A

Ownership option where they finance out the system cost of re-benefits of ownership.

SREC- Solar renewable energy credits are generated for every 1000 KWH produced

TREC-transition Renova energy certificates also generated per 1000 KWH produced.

ITC- Federal investment tax credit which is 26% of the total project cost.

23
Q

Contract

A

Fin Ops team verifies loan, PPA, lease, & or cash contracts to ensure we can receive funding to initiate the project.

24
Q

Survey

A

Drone team goes to site survey the property from the outside to access roof conditions and help our design team design an accurate CAD to avoid further delays in permitting.

25
Q

Design

A

Design team Will build and create clients proposed solar system array with in depth information from site survey in order to effectively place solar panel arrays. Cad will be reviewed and stand by engineering to proceed forward with permitting.

26
Q

NTP

A

Notice to proceed- multiple stages of solar construction project. This stage will be cleared once the finance partner has cleared a contract Township has Granite as permit and utility company has cleared permission to install.

27
Q

Installation

A

This is when one of our install crew goes out to commence construction of the solar system array on customers house based on the CAD design that the design team built.

28
Q

Inspection

A

Once completion of a solar system array is fully complete, we coordinate with local Townships to have an inspection done in order to proceed forward with PTO.

29
Q

Final

A

Once inspection has passed and we have been granted PTO ( Permission To Oporate ), the customer may now turn on their solar system and start producing clean renewable energy.

30
Q

Cancelled

A

Ifbwe are unable to proceed with a project due to various reasons, a manager will be placing the account on cancel status so that the company does not allocate any further resources towards this client.

31
Q

Completed

A

This is a project that is now operational and is producing cleaning renewable energy.

32
Q

Saved

A

Customer back on board with an active contract and a confirm scheduled installation date.

33
Q

Saved in progress

A

Customer back-on-board with active contract but no scheduled installation date.

34
Q

LOI

A

Lack of information; on the project that we need to obtain inorder to move forward.

35
Q

PTO

A

Permission to operate; System ready to be activated.

36
Q

PTI

A

Permission to install; System is ready to be installed.

37
Q

NTP

A

Notice to proceed; customer has been approved through financer.

38
Q

A

Notice of commencement; The documented start date of, the parties involved in, a construction project.

40
Q

A

Computer assisted design

41
Q

Give up

A

Take away. “ look, we dont have to strong arm anyone into switching to soalr. People are fighting for the few remaining spots left in your area and as you know your loacal untility company restricts the amount of people in any area who can switch. Not to mention, the absolute worst case scenario is you help us save then environment while saving yourself money.”

42
Q

Reword

A

Repeat their objection. This us letting the home owner know that you were listening to them. ‘I heard you’

43
Q

Isolate

A

Besides (insert their objection), is there any other reason you wouldn’t move forward with solar today ? This is concering them ?

44
Q

Empathize

A

i understand how you feel and trust me you’re not the first perosn who has felt this way but what we found out together is..

45
Q

Rebuttal

A
46
Q

Bring it to price

A

“ All i ask is that you give me an opportunity to show you the best savings that you could see and remember you’re still under no obligation to save money, so does that sound fair enough to you.”
