a cookie is a small text file that a web site uses to identify a specific computer.
defragmentation (degrag)
Disk fragmentation occurs when data is broken up into many pieces that are not stored close together.
Spyware
is software that aims to gather information about a person or organization without their knowledge and that may send such information to another entity without the consumer’s consent, or that asserts control over a computer without the consumer’s knowledge.
virus
is a type of malicious software program (“malware”) that, when executed, replicates by reproducing itself (copying its own source code) or infecting other computer programs by modifying them. Infecting computer programs can include as well, data files, or the “boot” sector of the hard drive.
malware
s short for “malicious software” - computer programs designed to infiltrate and damage computers without the users consent. “ Malware” is the general term covering all the different types of threats to your computer safety such as viruses, spyware, worms, trojans, rootkits and so on.
