heterogeneous
something that is different in both experiences and characteristics
homogenous
the assumption that all members of a group share the same experiences and characteristics
quantitative data
Quantitative data is information about quantities, and therefore numbers, how much and how many.
qualitative data
qualitative data is descriptive, and regards phenomenon which can be observed but not measured, such as language.
extended transition
extended transition is the transition when young people enter adulthood, which is taking longer as people are taking longer to achieve adulthood markers
emerging transition
the phase between adolescence and full-fledged adulthood

the view that extended and emerging adulthood has negative impacts on young people, as it takes longer to achieve goals such as job security and home stability

relates to someones social and economic position based on income, education and occupation

the concept of having an oversimplified image or idea of a particular group of people, etc,, eshay

describes youth based groups that have distinct styles, behaviours and interest
social construction
when something is socially constructed it is a phenomenon that is constructed by a particular group or society
historical
past tense, persons background, parental influence, links
cultural
influence by, culture, religions and traditions on beliefs values and attitudes
structural
government, law, health and media influences and how have they effected the attitudes of youth on this subject and is it promoting positive or negative stereotypes
critical
basically saying what if it were this way (imaginary) instead of the real way
