Sees society as a complex system whose parts work together to promote solidarity and stability

Focuses on the relationships among individuals within a society

Determined by environmental/societal factors like language and having a regional accent learned after birth

- Schools - teach life skills, interactions with teachers and other students
- Peers - challenge parental views
- Mass media - books, movies, news
How does personality develop?

- the way you are treated as a baby
