Sociology
The study of people and how members of social groups influence people’s behavior.
Theory
The overall belief guiding our understanding of society and is applied to our current social understanding.
Hypothesis
A measurable prediction/outcome
Bias
Having a specific outlook
Predjudice
Holding a negative view/attitude to a specific group of people
Individual Bias
As humans we have thoughts, feelings, values, beliefs and opinions, which create the lens in-which we view our world. Researchers are no different.
Research Bias
Influencing in some way the methods during your research, including a situation where some characteristics or behavior of the researcher influence the responses of the people being studied so that the data collected may not be a true reflection of what it claims to represent.
