What does the term Socialisation mean?
When the norms of society in which a person is being brought up become the accepted way.
Primary Socialisation?
Where a person is taught an attitude or belief in the confines of the home
Secondary Socialisation
where a person is taught an attitude or influenced by a belief outside the home

Meaning of Prejudice
Pre-judging people on characteristics, attitudes or beliefs to the type of person they are
Meaning of Stereotype
Making generalisations about groups of people all being the same
Meaning of equality
Treating everyone with respect, meeting their needs in order to bring everyone to the same level in regards to accessing laws.
Direct Discrimination
Talking to/acting towards a person disrespectfully face to face
Indirect Discrimination
Excluding individuals in a less obvious way, sometimes unintentionally, occurs when a condition is made harder for one group to meet than an other
