refers to creating an equitable society that meets the needs of all citizens and can be maintained indefinitely
elimination of poverty and provision of social protection systems H+W
if poverty is eliminated -> ppl have access to clean water -> reduces risk of developing infectious diseases (cholera) -> promotes physical H+W as ppl have freedom of disease
social protection systems can help provide housing for vulnerable ppl -> socialise w/ neighbours -> form friendships -> supportive network of friends in their community -> social H+W

women able to work -> earn income -> feel satisfied with themselves -> sense of purpose -> spiritual H+W
reduces stress and anxiety -> women don’t have to worry about impacts of violence and discrimination -> promotes mental H+W
access to safe and decent working conditions H+W
fewer ppl wud be forced into prostitution -> reduces risk of contracting HIV -> promotes physical H+W due to freedom of disease
kids r able to stay in school rather than working in illegal industries -> socialise with peers -> supportive network of friends -> social health and wellbeing
promotion of political and legal rights H+W
strong legal and political systems -> low levels of violence and conflict -> freedom of injury -> physical H+W
spiritual H+W -> ppl feel they have their voices heard -> sense of belonging in the community

ppl more likely to receive protection under the law during times of peace -> promotes feelings of security & safety -> reduces stress n anxiety -> mental H+W
risk of personal injury is reduced -> physical H+W -> freedom of injury
