What is a worldview? What are the worldview elements?
How a person or group sees the world, and the things around them. The seven elements of worldview are:
- View of human nature
- Relationship between the individual and the state
- View of the good life
- Equality with others
- Responsibilities to others
- Relationship of humans with nature
- Sources of ethical wisdom
What was the effect of the Black Death?
Millions of Europeans died, during 1346 and 1350. The plague was passed by rats and fleas. Many people also thought that the plague was sent as a punishment from god, and many left religion altogether.
How did the Black Death change the worldview of freeman and serfs?
Now, the serfs were finally released from their obligations to the lords, and had many more options available to them.
Describe in detail the life/role of a serf.
To work for the lord, without being paid, essentially, being a slave.
What challenges faced the feudal system?Which had the greatest impact and why?
Two main ones, the bubonic plague and the Hundred Years’ War. The bubonic plague was a sickness that killed many, and the Hundred Years’ War also killed many, and together these destroyed the feudal system.
