What is the Red Cross and how did it help people?
The Red Cross is a nonprofit organization that helps people in need. They set up shelters, brought drinking water and supplies, and cooked hot meals.

an event in nature, such as an earthquake or flood, that causes great harm.
Strike
when workers stop working to try to get something they want, such as better pay.
Volunteer
A person who agrees to do a task without being paid for it.
